How does the treatment work?

The illumiFacial® is the ‘next generation’ of highly successful ‘photo facial’ treatments which combine Lynton's specialist skincare serums together with medical-grade IPL technology. 

Step 1 includes a deep cleanse to prep the skin for treatment.

Step 2 is the application of a unique Tri-Fruit Acid peel (AHA), for anywhere between 3 - 10 minutes. This peel resurfaces skin texture and decongests pores, priming the skin ready for stage 3; IPL (intense pulsed light).

IPL works by both stimulating collagen and targeting any discoloration on the skin, e.g. freckles, pigmentation, vascular breakouts, general redness. In most cases, the results are instant, providing you with dramatically clearer, firmer skin. 

Finally, Step 4 helps to maximise the results of the illumiFacial® treatment, by applying a trio of specialist serums to help soothe, regenerate and protect the skin.

What does the treatment feel like?​

illumiFacial® is a comfortable treatment designed to provide clients with optimum skin health. Some individuals will feel a slight tingling sensation during the fruit peel but this subsides. The IPL aspect can be mildly uncomfortable, feeling similar to a hot pin prick.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of treatments required varies. results can be seen after one session. However, a minimum of 3 and up to 6 treatments is recommended for best results.

Is the treatment suitable for all skin types?

Most individuals are suitable for treatment, however there are some cases when treatment isn't suitable, this will be discussed in full during the consultation.
