How does the treatment work?

The light emitted by the device is absorbed by melanin within the hair, which is then converted into heat energy and damages the hair follicle, reducing hair growth.

How many sessions will I need?

The amount of sessions required varies from client to client and can depend on numerous factors. Generally, a minimum of 6 sessions are required for body areas and 8 for facial areas, however more may be needed.

​What does the treatment feel like?

The feel of the treatment can vary between individuals, but it has been described as similar to a 'hot flick'. Most clients find the treatment bearable and feel mild discomfort.

What skin/hair type can be treated?

The EXCELIGHT® can be used to treat skin types 1-5 and dark blonde-black hair. Grey/white hair contains no melanin so is not suitable for treatment. ​
